Securitize - SECZ Part 2

Securitize (SECZ): The Digital Slicing of Wall Street is Paying Off

On July 15th, I wrote about Securitize (SECZ), the newly public SPAC company that decided to take the traditional stock market and inject it with a serious dose of blockchain wizardry. If you have been watching the ticker, you know that the price action has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. But recently, that rollercoaster has been pointing straight up into the clouds.

Let us look at the raw numbers. Since hitting its 52-week low of $5.14, SECZ has rocketed up to $14.36 as of today, September 23, 2026. If my old calculator isn't failing me, that is a massive 179.3% price movement from its lowest point. The market is finally waking up to the reality of what tokenization brings to the table, and the smart money is moving in fast.

What Exactly is Happening with SECZ Tokenized Shares?

To understand why the price is moving, you have to understand the technology. Imagine taking a massive corporate office building and trying to sell it. It takes months, armies of lawyers, and mountains of paperwork just to transfer the deed. Now, imagine putting that building into a magical digital blender that slices the ownership into millions of tiny, trackable Lego bricks. You can trade those individual bricks instantly, 24/7, with anyone in the world, without needing a middleman to stamp a piece of paper.

That is exactly what Securitize is doing with real-world assets, including its very own stock. On its first day of public trading, Securitize actually tokenized its own NYSE-listed SECZ shares natively on the Avalanche and Solana blockchains. This wasn't a synthetic copy or a shadow derivative; it was the actual equity, zipping around on-chain. They proved their own plumbing worked on day one.

A Slew of Late Summer Announcements

The momentum has only accelerated since my last update. Securitize has been busy building the rails for the next generation of finance:

  • July 15th: Securitize and Wall Street heavyweight Cantor Fitzgerald announced an agreement to enable public companies to conduct IPOs and follow-on offerings directly on-chain. This effectively bypasses the slow, archaic IPO mechanisms of the past.

  • August 18th: Securitize partnered with Neuberger Berman to launch the new High Income Tokenized Fund (HINC), combining operational on-chain equity with a live tokenized income fund.

  • September 2nd: They teamed up with Socios.com to develop tokenized equity offerings for professional sports teams. Imagine holding a digital token that proves you own a fractional slice of your favorite sports franchise.

  • September 3rd: They signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to advance regulated tokenized markets globally.

Who is Buying, and Where Are They From?

This isn't just retail traders swapping digital coins. The buyers scooping up tokenized shares and participating in funds operating on Securitize's infrastructure are massive institutional players. Securitize acts as the transfer agent for BlackRock's BUIDL fund, which currently holds roughly $3 billion in asset value.

When we look at the demand for these tokenized assets, the buyers are strictly institutional and highly strategic:

  1. United States Financial Institutions (Largest Share): Asset managers, treasuries of crypto-native companies, and market makers represent the bulk of the demand. These entities are desperate for instant, yield-bearing cash equivalents without the friction of legacy banking hours.

  2. United Arab Emirates (UAE): With the recent VARA agreement in Dubai, institutional wealth from the Middle East is rapidly building a bridge to these regulated tokenized markets to modernize their sovereign wealth and corporate asset management.

  3. Offshore and Global Entities: Asset managers in jurisdictions like the Cayman Islands and Europe are actively utilizing these tokenized structures to gain seamless, 24-hour exposure to US-backed yields and equities.

The ETF Catalyst

The traditional finance world is also absorbing SECZ through Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), which has contributed significantly to the buying pressure. Securitize's integration into the broader digital asset ecosystem means SECZ is finding its way into specialized tech and blockchain funds, such as the Bitwise Stablecoin & Tokenization ETF.

By placing tokenized infrastructure companies inside ETFs, traditional mom-and-pop investors and massive retirement funds are suddenly gaining exposure to the blockchain rails that SECZ is building. It acts as a bridge. A traditional investor buys the ETF through their standard brokerage, and that ETF automatically buys shares of the underlying companies, including Securitize. This creates a steady, structural bid for the stock, completely separate from the day traders.

The tokenization of Wall Street is no longer a whitepaper pipe dream. The ability to instantly settle trades, track ownership on a public ledger, and bypass archaic transfer agents is fundamentally rewiring how capital moves. With an over 179% surge from its absolute bottom, institutional backing from giants like BlackRock and Cantor Fitzgerald, and an expanding global footprint, SECZ is demonstrating that the future of finance is digital, tokenized, and moving at the speed of light. Keep a close eye on this sector, because the digitization of capital markets is still in its infancy.
